Latest Updates from Our Project:
New Mini Update! (and some other bits, too)
– Thu, Nov 05, 2020 at 09:57:53 PM
Hey folks! Things are moving along as best as possible on our end, which is to say, we've done what we can, but we are held up (just slightly) by stuff out of our control, as we discussed last time.
Pocket rulebook is in final layout, all edits have been made, and we're awaiting the final PDF to go to backers and out to print.
Once that is done, bits will be added, art will be increased, and things sized up for the full sized rulebook, which we are using a separate printer for, so it should be in before we get the boxes.
We have one more sculpt coming in (Yolanda from the Hetairoi, the cyberleg Goblin), and we're finished on that end. We have other sculpts in the works, but nothing for the KS fulfillment. We have plans...
Speaking of sculpts
Dwarf Girl
We've taken to calling her Rocky (see if you can figure out why) and she is one of my darling minis. The gun blast is removable, too!
Abandoned art
Unfortunately, one of our artists had some major life stuff come up and was unable to continue with us, but they allowed us to keep what they had been doing for future artists or just as reference. Enjoy!
New Art
One of my favorite artists, Slobodan Jovanovich, who I've worked with a lot before, has joined the team, and you can see some of his art for the rulebook here:
Undercity Audio Drama Update
Episode 6, the final episode of our Undercity Audio Drama, is out! This series serves as an introduction to the world we've created and has some Undercity characters making appearances. Check it out and get yourself into the Undercity mood!

Product Samples!

The packaging and accessory samples came in!
Its been a while since our last update, but we haven't had much to share. Layout is getting done and the manufactures are doing most of the work now. But we finally have some progress!
Here is the samples for the box, the accessories for the enhanced box, and the tokens from the box set. The corrugated box is a lot sturdier than the tuck box we had originally planned for, which means we may be able to save a bit on the plastic inserts as well, but I'll keep you updated. It doesn't look as clean as a tuck box, but I love the way they open and how sturdy they are. The grit poker chips look great and so do the dice! Everything came out well, so I send word back to the manufacturer to proceed! Progress!
Thanks for hanging in with us and we'll get more updates when we have anything to report!

Another Model to Show Off and Production Update
about 4 years ago
– Thu, Oct 08, 2020 at 03:52:47 AM
Hey everyone!
I have some good news and some... questionable news. The Good news first!
Abimiras
Here is the render for Abimiras, the leading figure in the Undercity audio drama by Worlds Without End (available through their podcast or on the Fragging Unicorns YouTube channel). His wheelchair is simple, as befits a denizen of the Undercity, and as you can see, Abi's upper body is pretty tone from all the pushing he has to do when the batteries run down (which is always in the Undercity). Abi will be playable as a freebooter in Gangs of the Undercity.
Manufacturing
While I wouldn't say this was a hurdle, it does have me nervous, so I am passing my nerves onto you in attempt to be fully transparent every step of the process. Our timeline had manufacturing being wrapped up and us receiving everything from all our vendors 75 days after receiving samples (not of the minis, but everything else). Unfortunately, we have gone past the timeline we had planned and still have not received samples. If we receive samples soon and give the go-ahead, we are still good to go with our December fulfillment date. If we don't receive samples soon, or if the samples need any work, it would delay things. How long a delay, I am not sure. I wish I could say something more positive, but this is out of our hands. It isn't a big issue, not yet, but I will keep everyone informed regardless.
Thanks for understanding, and I'll see you next time!

Tape Measures!
– Sun, Oct 04, 2020 at 02:10:37 PM
Ok, so maybe this isn't the MOST exciting update, but... it does represent the first bit of manufacturing that has made its way back to us so far! So check out our Gangs of the Undercity tape measure from our enhanced box!
They turned out well and I am very happy with the quality. I had some doubts initially as to how they would come out, because I have seen some other custom tapes look really cheap and only "functional" in the loosest sense, but now that I've seen and held them, I am really pleased with the quality. They are sturdy and at 16 feet in length, they more than cover any gaming needs you have!
See you all soon with another update!

Yetin Everywhere!
– Fri, Oct 02, 2020 at 03:09:11 PM
Hey illustrious backers!
Our team has been hard at work making the dream of Gangs of the Undercity happen! There's been a lull in updates as we've put our nose to the grind and have been about the business of editing, writing, crafting, etc., but we have some sweet minis updates for you today!
Raz
This is Raz the Ogre, a member of the Bulls of Heaven. Ogres are basically the hairless variety of yetin, so you can see both he and Snapper (from the Flaming Skulls) keep those sort of wild facial features.
Yetin Kit
Speaking of Yetin, here are two of the possible configurations for the Yetin Kit. This one is still being worked on a bit, just to get it exactly right, but this is the bugbear head on both. The kit comes with cyberarms, normal arms, and yojin wrapped arms, and a variety of weapons and heads to choose from, so you can really make your Yetin your own.
Weapons Sprue
This piece of fun was unlocked via social goals in our campaign, and here are the weapons that will come with it. As you can see, we have a pistol, a rifle, a shotgun, a submachine gun, a gear-mace, a sword, and a polearm. We are still discussing putting actual hands on the weapons so you can more easily hobby them onto your models, so we'll update you with what we decide!
That's it for today! There are still 14 of you who haven't given us your addresses for your physical rewards, and we're trying every way we know how to reach out to you, so if you are reading this, and haven't got a link to the backerkit pledge manager, or haven't clicked on it, your rewards cannot be fulilled. Please check! Thanks! Also, for those of you who'd like to join us on Discord for all sorts of Fragging Unicorns and Gangs of the Undercity discussion, come on up and see us here: https://discord.gg/PWJsRNu. Remember, you have to click a gang and be assigned a role in order to hang around. If you get booted, just click the link again and join a gang in the welcome-read-this-first channel!
Ok, folks, I'm outta here. See you next time!
(I just got word that our GotU tape-measures will be arriving today, so I'll probably have some pics of those soon as well)
