Small Update About Fulfillment
over 1 year ago – Fri, Dec 16, 2022 at 10:03:04 AM

Hey folks, this update isn't anything big, but we've had some questions about some minis that I thought I could address all at once instead of a bunch of individual messages.

First, there was a question about the weapon sprue. The weapon sprue did, in fact, get made. Because of our manufacturing woes, it was not able to go out early as we wanted. I know we never promised this, but we had hoped, at one point, to put it in free with the box set. But since that ship sailed, we focused on getting the minis that people actually ordered out first. But the sprue is ready to go, and once all the other minis are fulfilled, the weapon sprue, along with all of our other minis and gang boxes, will be available for purchase on our website. I'd like to say within a few weeks.

Second, there were a few questions about the Golem kit and the Gryphon kit. As some of you may have noticed, the Golem kit isn't QUITE as modular as it could have been. It was simply getting to be too much of a hassle for our limited capacity to make all the parts work right in the limited time and assets we had. So instead, we made the decision to include double the parts in each kit, so you could make two Golems with one kit instead of just one. While the modularity was cut down, we felt like having a Lawjack Golem AND a rebel Golem was a good deal for y'all. We still may offer a more modular version on the website, however. That remains to be seen.

A similar process happened with the Gryphon. Producing the third set of wings was something we desperately wanted to do, but the cost was getting so prohibitive that it became clear we couldn't pull it off. So instead, those of you who bought the Gryhon kit will notice that you got lots of modular parts, which should allow you to make 2 entire gryphons instead of just one. We were able to do this because producing increased amounts of parts was cheaper than adding entirely new large parts into the kit. And again, as with the Golem, we may be offering another version on the website once all is said and done, but we just have to wait and see if that is justified.

Lastly, I know some of our international folks did not receive bases with some of their models. This was an issue of miscommunication (a rather silly one) between us and the manufacturer. Three of our backers ended up receiving something like 75 random bases between them while others received none. So to those who got the extra bases, congrats! Bases for days! But for those that didn't get the bases with their minis, you have a few options.

option 1) head to your local gaming store or online outlet and buy a base, or use one you already have.

option 2) reach out to us and we'll help get you the bases somehow if we can.

option 3) ask for a refund for the cost of the bases, and we'll gladly oblige.

At this point, resending bases to our international folks would be rather cost prohibitive for us, but we are committed to seeing this through, and don't want anyone to feel frustrated or like they didn't get their full pledge's worth. So let us know (or don't, if you choose option 1).

But we have been overjoyed in getting our minis out to you and can't wait to see some of them painted! I'd love to put your works on our website, so please submit any finished paint jobs of Gangs of the Undercity models to [email protected]

Thanks!

Fulfillment Update!
over 1 year ago – Sat, Dec 10, 2022 at 08:25:29 PM

Hey mighty backers of ours!

I have some good news and some medium frustration.

First the medium frustration.

The manufacturer messed up one of our models - the croyote. They made an extra set of raccondors instead. As a result, about 30 of you who got the croyote in your order will have to wait a bit longer for complete fulfillment. It shouldn't be too long, the croyote reprints are already being made, but for those who have been waiting long enough already, I know its a bummer.

But the good news is that by next week, all the other orders should be sent out! We've been packaging and shipping for the last two weeks, and the end is in sight! Some of you have already received your packages (I heard from one of you today), and some will be sometime next week or maybe the week after, but it is getting done! The challenges didn't kill us and we have reached the end!

Once all the packages have been sent out, we'll put all of our models up for sale on our website, so you can get your friends in on the game, or grab some great minis for your Subversion or Shadowrun RPG games or whatever!

If you DO get your order soon, please look them over and let us know if we got anything wrong. I am certain I didn't get everything perfect, but I do want to make things as right as we can.

Thanks for your continuing patience and support!

You'll be hearing from us again very soon with updates about the croyote, fulfillment, and some new game updates!

An Update on Fulfillment
over 1 year ago – Tue, Nov 22, 2022 at 03:01:35 PM

Hey folks,

I have some good news and some... lame news (but it isn't necessarily bad).

First, the lame news (for non-US backers).

As those of you in non-US territories have probably noticed, shipping has begun for your minis! I would love to know for myself if you've received them, but alas, I cannot tell, since Royal Mail's website and tracking has been down for weeks. Some of you have let me know you've received your packages, but I don't know about the rest of you. If you HAVEN'T received your stuff yet, please let me know. And if your order is somehow wrong or missing pieces, I need to know both of those things by the end of the year in order to be able to act on them swiftly.

As an addendum, some of you requested (back in 2019) that your order of the 2 Player Box Set and the additional minis arrive at the same time. I believe I know all of you, but there were a lot of orders and just to be on the safe side, please remind me if you were one of those folks and haven't received your 2 player box set.

In Better news (US fulfilment update)

The shipment of minis has arrived to our office! We'll be sorting through those and getting them out starting next week (after the US Thanksgiving holiday). I'll be going through them this week to check for any damages or failed prints, etc.

I can't wait for everyone to get their minis and to finally say we've fulfilled Gangs of the Undercity!!!!

Thanks again for your patience and long, long, longsuffering. You are the best.

Oh, and we are a hair's bredth away from fulfilling our second Kickstarter for Misspent Youth: Fall In Love, Not In Line as well. So that's two in 3 years. Not bad with a pandemic and global supply, manufacturing, and shipping issues? Well, I don't want to stroke our own horns... But I think that track record warrants a brand new Kickstarter in February? Something Neo Babylon related? See you in another update soon!

Great News! Final Fulfillment Has Begun!
over 1 year ago – Mon, Nov 07, 2022 at 08:09:59 AM

Folks, I'll skip the play by play of the drama it took to get us to this point, but I will state emphatically that this delay had nothing to do with Fragging Unicorns. And yet, we take full responsibility for getting all of the rewards that we promised out to everyone who supported us. And that time has come. Thank you all for your patience.

As of now, every international backer (Non-US) should have the balance of their minis in hand or on the way. I'm going to be sending tracking numbers out today. For US-backers, the wait will be a little longer, as we have to receive the bulk shipment and send them all out individually (this saved us a ton in shipping).

I'll post another update when those shipments have gone out.

One final thing: We have already received at least one report of a shipment that wasn't exactly right, so if you come across a problem with your order, please let us know ASAP and we will fix that immediately. Please try to have all of these reports in by the end of the year. Thanks, everyone!!!!! I look forward to seeing your minis on social medias!

Almost There!
over 1 year ago – Thu, Sep 08, 2022 at 09:14:25 AM

Hey folks!

I was waiting to do the next update until the rest of the minis were shipped out, but that hasn't quite happened yet, so I wanted to keep you in the loop.

All of the minis have been printed are in quality control now, as I've been told. The dates for shipping have shifted from August to September, and though I was promised they would ship no later than last week, here we are, still waiting. I would have loved to be able to show them off (and sell them!) at the cons this summer, but alas. We remain positive about it. As we've continually heard from other creators and backers, lots of kickstarter projects aren't even fulfilling at all. So we are still counting ourselves lucky we survived the GREAT WOES over the last few years. And that is thanks to you and your understanding. The minis should be in your hands soon!

We've been asked about future sales of minis and about 3D printing. We've decided that we will have sales of both 3D print files and resin prints of our minis available for sale once we fulfill everything and update our website (which is frustratingly having some issues - small company woes). So those of you who want to 3d print, kitbash, or muck around with our minis in digital land can absolutely do so.

The Con season went well for us, especially ReaperCon, where we are definitely going to be attending with Gangs for the foreseeable future, so thanks to all who stopped by!

We have some other cool crap coming up, but I am trying to remain focused on Gangs until the last mini is sent out. Thanks again!

A few nods to kick-ass friends of ours

In case you are looking for some other awesome stuff, a few of our really good friends  are doing a few different projects and I wanted to give them a plug.

Coddlesworth’s Clockwork Circus

- Live, ends September 15th

First up is Coddlesworth’s Clockwork Circus issue #2. In Issue #1, two young halflings, Drum and Imari, began their journey to unravel the truth behind a dark legend. Seeking truths that could not be found in their native lands, they ventured forth into a world they never could have imagined.

Now, in Issue #2, after narrowly avoiding disaster in the streets of mehr'Kuldashta, Drum and Imari are escorted by their saviors to someone who may be able to help them in their quest to uncover the secrets of the "Book."

Gelatinous Cube Jelly Soaps

- Launched August 30th

Next up is Gelatinous Cube Jelly soaps! The creator, Cassie, is a dear heart and so, so cool. The soaps come in two sizes, a “Standard” 2” cube weighing roughly 4oz. And a 2.5” “Dire” 2.5” cube weighing roughly 8oz. Each cube will have a full 7-piece set of dice inside, randomly chosen. Mini 10mm dice for the standard and regular 16mm dice for the dire.

Have a game room that gets kinda funky after you play? Gift each player a gelatinous cube soap and perhaps the dice inside will incentivize them enough to get the hint.

Or maybe you just want to gift your players and/or GM a set of dice and a Jelly wiped out your party.

Or maybe you're a GM and don't have a gelatinous cube figure for your map!

Or maybe you just like the novelty of jelly soap.

Whatever your reason, we've got a tier for you!

Blood & Justice: Nocturne by Night

- Launched September 6th

Next, we have BLOOD & JUSTICE,  a setting of vigilante action, where the Punisher would feel right at home. It's a place where Cloak and Dagger would fight crime in the alleys while Venom and Witchblade battle it out on the rooftops. It's a place for anti-heroes writ large, where violence and gunplay meet detective work and investigations.

Blood & Justice: Welcome to Nocturne introduced us to the city of Nocturne, an Iron Age Superhero setting with a grim reality.

Now, Nocturne by Night expands upon the darker side of the world. It contains 62 new villains, advice for GMs on running a gritty Iron Age setting, and even what to do when your heroes take that final step and become villains themselves.

Shadowrun: Edge Zone

- Launches September 20

I normally wouldn't plug a more established company's kickstarter, but our pals at Rem Alternis are running their kickstarter and it will look awesome for them if it does well. And since Rem is a partner company to FUG, it helps us in the long run as well. Regardless, Catalyst Games is producing a revamp, upgrade, and rerelease of the Shadowrun Trading Card Game (which was pretty damn cool). A Shadowrun trading card game hasn’t been seen since the ‘90s, so this is extra exciting as newer fans of the game will likely never have known there was a trading card game.

Edge Zone will come in two boxes, the Magic box will focus on all things magic, and the Mayhem deck which will focus on the more physical aspects of the Shadowrun setting. Street Samurai, deckers, riggers and the like. You will be able to choose one to play, or get them both and mix and match your deck to your tastes.

Ok, that's it for the update. See y'all next update!
