Hey everyone! I've got some good news and some not-bad-but-oops news as well. 

First off, thank you to everyone for making Fragging Unicorns have a good 2020 despite everything we all were up against. We are so thankful for your support. We are looking forward to 2021 to be even bigger!

Manufacturing Update

Regarding the good news, all non-minis production is complete and I am awaiting shipping confirmation! That's great news for us. We are awaiting the final nod that the minis for the 2 player box is complete and hope to hear good news about that soon as well. 

Assuming shipping goes smoothly, we should have the 2 player boxes (and the enhanced box sets, too) out by January. I'll keep you posted if that changes or when we are ready to ship!

International Shipping Fees on Terrain

It has come to our attention that some of our international backers have had to pay extra (fees, VAT, etc.) to receive their terrain rewards from Death Ray Designs. This was not our intention (or theirs) and was a miscommunication between us. We are committed to being EU-friendly and international-friendly with our shipping, and we want to remain worthy of your trust, so if you have had to pay any extra fees, please shoot us a message/email with a picture of the extra fees you've had to pay and we will reimburse you immediately. Thank you so much for bearing with us as we get better!

Reminder: There are still 10 of you who have not completed your backerkit confirmation. We can't send you product without your address being locked in, and we don't want to keep your goods! Please help us help you and login to the backerkit links we are sending you. :)

Production and Fulfillment Update

Hey folks! Some good news and some expected, but not ideal news. 

First, the good. Rulebooks are being printed, and we should have a sample in our hands this week. I can't wait to take pics and share!

Now, the expected, but not ideal. 

I mentioned earlier we might have to be pushed back to January for fulfillment. That has now been confirmed. The very earliest we will get our packaging is January 5, which means all hope for December fulfillment is gone. I know that many of you have reached out to say that December was ambitious and January is still very, very good for our first outing, but it still stings and frustrates us. But thank you all for your patience and kindness. 

But... we do have some art coming in that is in-process for the full-sized rulebook, so here's a sneak peak!

In the meantime, while we wait for our fulfillment opportunities, the crew at Fragging Unicorns have been busy. With what, you ask? The companion RPG to Gangs of the Undercity, which expands the world and takes you out of the Undercity and into the wider world of the game we're calling Subversion. We think you'll like it! But don't think we are moving on from Gangs, no. We have expansions planned and the future is looking bright. Pray to your gods that the conventions will be safe to attend this year, because we have some exciting things for GenCon and/or Origins and/or Adepticon (all which depend on schedules and Covid). So stay tuned!

The Digital Pocket Rulebook is out!

Digital Version of the Pocket Rulebook is out!

By now, every one of you that pledged at an appropriate level should have received an email about the Pocket Rulebook Digital version. We have sent it out to to everyone who would get the Full Size PDF. This release isn't the promised PDF, but just a digital version of the Pocket Rulebook included in the 2-Player Box sets. But it does have all the rules! It has sample gangs! Rules to make your own! Background info on all the gangs! It has an index and hyperlinked table of contents! And because we love you, the file has layers - all one has to do to have a home-print-ready version is to go to Layers and turn off the Background layer!

This wasn't a promised release, and the full size Rulebook and its PDF will have more goodies. But we could see no reason not to give this one to you as you waited for the minis! Enjoy it and play some games for us!

Small Fulfillment Update

We have been told by our minis makers that we WILL be hitting our goal to have the original minis (that is, the minis for the 2-Player box set) in December, but the others will take 1-2 months after. We were hoping to make the releases as close together as possible, but this was still VERY within our estimates and just means we have a ROUGH idea about when the other minis will ship. So We are still looking at January to ship the main game (unless Marduk himself grants us a miracle and we can do it faster), and 1-3 months later for all the rest. 

We aren't slacking in the meantime, either! More news as it comes in!

Terrain is on its way!

Great news! The folks at Death Ray Designs, who lovingly craft our terrain, are ready to ship their wares! So be on the lookout for confirmation emails from Death Ray as one last verification of your order contents and shipping address.  Boxes are getting packed this weekend so if there is a problem, just a quick ping via email ([email protected]) will sort out anything that needs fixing or adjusting.

We should be back very soon with another update about the rulebook. See you then!

Another mini update and some production news

This mini preview marks the end of our minis previews, since we now have all the sculpts!

This is Yolanda, the cyberlegged goblin drummer of the Hetairoi!

Production Update

-Layout is "done," (as in, we are always scanning for last minute errors, but we are confident enough to move on) and heading to printers this weekend. 

-Packaging is secured and ordered. 

-Art for Full Size book is coming in (and we'll be previewing that as we get it). 

Full size book is much fewer in number, so now that we have the pocket rulebook settled, it is just a matter of adding art and lore bits, and it will be printed much faster. 

-All the minis for the 2-player box set are being printed. We had hoped for a quicker turnaround for the add-on minis, but it looks like out initial assessment of them having to wait a bit was correct. It shouldn't be longer than a month or two delay, however. 

I'll be frank, I was optimistic about keeping our December ship date until this month. The back and forth with the manufacturer has been much slower than anticipated due to forces beyond my control. I will know better next time. Sincere apologies, but it looks like January fulfilment, not December. 

Not my favorite news to bring, but we are committed to being open and transparent throughout this whole process. 

Oh, but something I forgot. The PDF will be sent out to everyone who pledged for it as soon as this weekend! So even without our official minis, you can get started playing!

If you all have any questions about any of this, let me know and we'll try to get them answered. 

FYI, there are still 11 of you who have not locked up your backerkit stuff, and so I don't have your addresses... which makes it hard to ship your stuff. :) Please help me help you.
